Strega's Needles & Hooks

This is my little piece of cyber space where I rant or rave, depending on my mood. Postings are whatever interests me at the time. Life with an Italian in Switzerland is interesting indeed! CLICK ON PHOTOS TO SEE ENLARGEMENTS

I chuckled when I saw my spindle spun yarn turn into these socks.
The colours are SO different! Out of curiosity, I purposely mixed the colours as I spun to see how the finished product would turnout. Well, I guess I got my answer! Hahaha!
The yarn is 2-ply worsted weight made from handpainted Romney roving and Swiss White Alp which I processed myself straight from the sheep's back!
I cast on 44 sts for these socks. They should fit about a size 8 woman's foot.

First socks on one circular finally finished!
They need to be washed and blocked yet but
not bad overall. Next pair I'll finish the toes differently
and use a solid colour if it's a lacy pattern.
This colorway doesn't sufficiently show off
Jeanie Townsend's beautiful Cascading Leaves design.
