Strega's Needles & Hooks

This is my little piece of cyber space where I rant or rave, depending on my mood. Postings are whatever interests me at the time. Life with an Italian in Switzerland is interesting indeed! CLICK ON PHOTOS TO SEE ENLARGEMENTS

It's Sept.22 and no beginning to sock wars yet.
It seems that the yarnmonkey may have been without
electricity due to the ferociously high winds that
swept through Northern Ireland. Here's hoping everything
will return to normal without serious injury to anyone.

While waiting patiently for the sock pattern and the name
and address of my target, I decided to spindle spin some
more merino for the Print O' Wave shawl. I plan to use this darker merino for the edging. This skein of single ply has 150 yds and I'm hoping to get another 100-120 yds from what remains of the roving. I'm knitting the entire shawl in single ply which will make it feel like a feather over my shoulders. :-)

How many people have knit the Pomatomus? 200? Probably more!
So I'm a little slow. Big Deal!
But how many people have done them in a solid colour? I only found 6!
Voila! My Pomatomus in solid luscious lavender yarn called Nizza.
