I just signed up for SP9!!

From all the posts and blogs I've read from others in the previous Secret Pal exchanges,
this should be an absolute blast!!
I'm waiting for confirmation before I add the SP9 button to my blog.
I've understood that it may take a week, so we'll see.

I've also just checked to see how many warriors there are in the Sock Wars.
Looks like 700 and counting.....

Decided to give Hot Socks a go too since the swap doesn't include any labour intensive acts other than shopping for my exchange pal, and I do so love shopping for yarn, books, chocolate, tea, coffee, books, candy, biscuits, hair accessories, books, nail polish, bath products ..... did I mention books? .... well, you get the idea. ;o)

It seems there's a baby on the way! What kind of grandmother would I be
if I didn't produce at least a few useful items before his/her arrival.

My camera always gives me the gears! GRRRRRR...
The angel cloth is, in fact, white with a few pastel threads throughout, not pink,
and the sockies are the same mint green as the blankee.
I know, I know...
I'll have to invest in a new digital,
but I hate the pain of shopping for one.
Those tech savvy salesmen all see this digital illiterate as a prime target.... Argh!

I designed this sock pattern because I absolutely love lace.
The sock on the right was my test sock. As you see, the pattern doesn't show up well with this Fortissima Colori so I'm now doing the mint green version above.
Will post pics of both pairs when done.
